Phoenix Park Neighbourhood House is pleased to be re-opening and resuming certain classes and activities as per recent Government announcements.
Premier Dan Andrews has announced that as of 11.59pm this evening (27 July), Victoria will come out of lockdown with a new set of restrictions in place. These settings are set to be in place for at least two weeks.
What does this mean for Phoenix Park?
We will be resuming most activities, everyone enrolled in their respective classes will be notified via email. For larger group sessions such as zumba, chairbased exercise and mahjong we will contact these groups directly and advise how we will run and coordinate these sessions face to face under the group limit of 10. Please keep an eye out for email updates. Face masks must continue to be worn indoors and outdoors at all times
As a centre, we will continue in observing the highest standards of COVID-Safe practice. This includes:
- Using the Victorian Government’s QR Code Check In
- Face mask enforcement
- Hand sanitizer at entry and other key location points
- Physical distancing (no hugs or shaking hands)
- Regular disinfecting of high touch points and surfaces

We would like to also thank our wonderful community and participants who have remained engaged and connected with us during the recent lockdown. These lockdowns are never easy and I would like to take a moment to thank our tutors and staff for being so understanding and adaptable to the conditions. Your community spirit and can-do attitude are valued, we are so fortunate to have you!
To anyone of our community members who may be stuck in lockdown due to being caught up in many of the local Tier 1 exposure sites, hang in there – we are here for you. If you remain in lockdown, and need help or would like to hear from a friendly voice, please email me – Maddie at manager@phoenixparknh.org.au
Thank you, continue to stay safe and can’t wait to see you all soon.
