The 16 Days of Activism, starting on November 25th, focuses on preventing violence against women and promoting safety, equality, and respect. At PPNH, our community is taking an intergenerational approach by engaging in discussions and creating a special art installation to represent equality and respect. This installation, a mixed media bouquet of flowers made from various materials in shades of orange, will be displayed at Phoenix Park Community Centre for everyone to enjoy.
Children in our community are also invited to participate by colouring a sheet called ‘Together’ to add to our installation. We welcome the entire community to join us in crafting their own flowers to symbolize equality and respect. Craft kits are available from our friendly team on Mondays to Thursdays between 9 am and 4 pm. We look forward to seeing your creations because we all want to live in a world where we feel safe, equal and respected.
